SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, a global trade fair for joining, cutting and surfacing, will take place from 15-19 September 2025 at Messe Essen in Germany.
“Under the banner ‘Join the Future’, it will become a central meeting place for decision-makers, experts and market leaders from various sectors. The focus will be on issues that will shape the industry of tomorrow: digitalisation, sustainability and the recruitment of skilled workers,” show organiser, Messe Essen, told ISMR.
Event partner, DVS - the German Welding Society, will hold the DVS Congress 2025 alongside SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN from 16-17 September 2025. The Congress aims to provide answers to the pressing questions of the future: energy, mobility, digitalisation, climate protection and sustainability.
The ticket shop for SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 is now live. The newly redesigned ticket shop is faster, more intuitive and optimised for mobile devices. Tickets are also available in a digital wallet format for smartphones. The official LinkedIn event for SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025 is also linked to the shop in the run-up to the trade show. ISMR is an international media partner for SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN and its September issue will be distributed at the event.
The Future Hub
A new feature for this year’s event is the Future Hub in Hall 7 with daily panel discussions, lectures and presentations as well as shows and entertainment. Everything in this area will revolve around digitalisation, automation and sustainability, with a clear focus on networking and knowledge exchange across the industry.
Designed as a central communication platform, the Future Hub will present the latest technologies and hands-on innovations while fostering interdisciplinary dialogue. Industry specialists, companies, start-ups and young professionals will gather to address the current challenges and opportunities shaping the welding and cutting sectors.
“With the Future Hub, we are creating a vibrant space where not just technologies but also people and ideas take centre stage. Our goal is to inspire, share knowledge and collaboratively shape the future of the industry,” explained Christina Kleinpaß, Head of Project, SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, at Messe Essen.
The Future Hub is dedicated to hot topics such as automation; artificial intelligence; environmental protection; recruitment; cybersecurity and social media. The focus is not only on knowledge transfer but also on meaningful networking. Formats such as moderated talks, best-practice sessions, panel discussions and talent-oriented events aim to encourage intensive dialogue among stakeholders. Additional highlights include ‘meet-and-greets’ with industry leaders and prominent influencers offering fresh insights into communication, careers and collaboration in the digital age.
