Aliko Oy Ltd is a Finnish manufacturer of press brakes and tooling. Since 1978, it has been designing, manufacturing and selling CNC-controlled sheet metal processing machines in Finland for the metalworking industry. The company also offers a diverse selection of accessories for modular press brakes, so that its products can be tailored to meet a customer’s unique requirements.

With over 45 years of experience, Aliko Oy Ltd has delivered over 1500 machines across Finland and worldwide. As well as a bending technology developer for the mechanical engineering industry, it also operates as a representative for multiple companies.

At this October’s Blechexpo/Schweisstec trade show in Stuttgart, Germany, Aliko showcased its press brake, tooling and accessory expertise to visitors. Aliko’s CEO, Stanislav Demin, shared his vision and strategy for the company with ISMR, as well as his views on global markets and new technologies, during the exhibition.

Key investments

“Aliko is a medium-sized, family-owned company. I joined the company 14 years ago as a service coordinator, selling spare parts, and became CEO at the age of 28 years old. It has been quite a long journey and, on the way, I have implemented a lot of ideas to improve service, increase retrofits on press brakes and invest in our internal systems such as ERP and engineering software to increase productivity, as well as our staff. We are lucky that all the young and passionate professionals that are in key positions in the company have been with us for over ten years. We are really proud to be building machines in Finland, with our local supplier network,” Aliko’s CEO, Stanislav Demin, told ISMR.

“We have delivered quite a lot of advanced, heavy-duty press brakes to the military sector over the past few years. Finland is near the border of Russia, so we had to stop selling press brakes to Russia once the war started in Ukraine. However, that gave us more time to focus on sales in central Europe and I am very happy with the results. The export percentage of Aliko’s sales increased from 20 per cent to 60 per cent last year. Our press-brake tonnages range from 220-4,000 tons (including tandem press brakes). Typically, we provide up to 2,000-ton press brakes to customers,” he continued.

Aliko showcased a 4.2m-, 320-ton SP-4200-320F press brake model to visitors on its stand at Blechexpo/Schweisstec in Stuttgart. It featured an angle measurement system, hydraulic clamping, CNC front support and a tool station.

Aliko’s modular press brakes are used in various sectors worldwide including mining; wind power; beam production; construction; transportation and defence.
