With 300+ exhibitors, 30+ hours of free seminars and deep engagement across key sectors (including aerospace; automotive; defence; energy; construction; advanced manufacturing and precision engineering), the UK Metals Expo is a powerful engine for business, investment and transformation. It is due to take place at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, from 10-11 September 2025.
“Following a record-breaking 2024, UK Metals Expo 2025 is set to raise the bar again. With the metals industry more critical than ever to the UK’s industrial strategies, this year’s event arrives at exactly the right moment. Last year, over 7,500 industry leaders attended UK Metals Expo, looking for solutions to boost efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness. In 2025, even more are expected — ready to explore the innovations and strategies that will define the next decade,” the show organiser, UK Metals Expo Ltd, told ISMR.
“From raw materials to fabrication, CNC machining to automation, this is the only UK event that brings the entire metals industry together under one roof. Join thousands of senior decision-makers, buyers, engineers and innovators at UK Metals Expo,” it continued.
Meet the metal supply chain
UK Metals Expo benefits from full endorsement and collaboration from the UK Metals Council, its member trade associations and various other industry bodies. Its new Governing Body is chaired by Lord Rupert Redesdale.
“The UK Government has placed metals at the heart of its Industrial Strategy this year, and UK Metals Expo is its driving force. The leading trade show for the entire metals supply chain is back, bigger and more essential than ever,” commented Lord Redesdale, UK Metals Expo Chair.
The event will feature live equipment demonstrations, breakthrough innovations and direct access to key decision-makers. The entire metals supply chain will be represented from primary metal manufacture; supply chain management; processing metals; fabrication; surface coatings and recycling with industry experts, leading vendors and trade attendees.
“Buyers from every corner of the industry will be on-site to network, learn and source the solutions that drive results. Face-to-face connection is key, as is hands-on technology. Visitors can expect real commercial outcomes,” added the show organiser, UK Metals Expo Ltd.
Big topics and real solutions
Seminar themes include Supply Chains, Innovation, Skills, Circular Economy and Resources. These will set the tone for the event which will be heavily driven by sharing an agenda driven each year by the show’s Governing Body. Last year’s event attracted 138 speakers in 39 seminars across four theatres. All sessions are free to attend and open for visitors to drop in.
This year, Theatre 1 will cover ‘The Big Issues’. Theatre 2 will feature presentations on ‘Sustainability and The Circular Economy’. Theatre 3 will showcase ‘Innovation and Technology’ topics while Theatre 4 will promote ‘Supply Chain, Trade and Policy’ issues.
