The global sheet metal working and joining technology industries will meet at Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2025 in Stuttgart, Germany (21-24 October 2025). The 17th Blechexpo international trade fair for sheet metal working and the 10th Schweisstec international trade fair for joining technology unites two key production technologies. Key features of the event include nine exhibition halls, innovations for the “best Award 2025”, a supplementary congress programme and Career Friday.
“Well over a thousand exhibitors have already booked their booth floor space. We’re still processing additional RFQs every day,” said Georg Knauer, project manager at trade show promoter, P. E. Schall. “Nine jam-packed exhibition halls will focus on all aspects of current and future sheet metalworking. The industry can look forward to future-oriented solutions and new developments, which will be impressively presented by our exhibitors.”
The clear-cut thematic structure enables specialist visitors to discover systems covering the entire value chain. Topics at the event range from thermal and mechanical sheet metal processing, along with system peripherals including controllers and software (as well as solutions for handling and feeding), up to quality assurance.
“Visitors will benefit from the clear-cut layout of the exhibition halls: sheet metal, pipe and profile processing will be in halls 1, 3, 5 and 7. Halls 4 and 6 are reserved for stamping technologies. Cutting, joining and fastening technologies will be presented in hall 9. Hall 8 will focus on pressing and forming technologies. Steel and metal services, as well as surface finishing technology, will be addressed in hall 10,” said P. E. Schall.
“Companies are concerned primarily with increasing their efficiency,” said Georg Knaur. “Rising cost pressure and the ongoing shortage of skilled personnel continue to fuel further automation. In addition to sheet metal working itself, the integration of peripherals is also becoming increasingly important,” added Knauer.
The “best Award”
As an innovation engine, the “best Award” has become a traditional part of the supplementary programme at Blechexpo/Schweisstec. Companies have submitted entries for five competition categories including sheet metal, pipe and profile processing; pressing and forming technologies; stamping technologies; cutting, joining and fastening technologies as well as steel/metal services and surface finishing technologies.
The competition finalists have now been selected. An independent jury of experts will choose the winners in each category. The winners will receive their awards at a ceremony marking the end of the first day of the trade fair at 4pm on 21 October 2025.
Career Friday
The topics covered by Blechexpo/Schweißtec are clearly focused clearly on the future. Together with the exhibitors, the trade fair promoters are launching Career Friday on 24 October 2025. In keeping with the motto “Shape your dreams, metal your future”, it aims to provide young people with insights into routine daily work and enable them to establish personal contacts with companies.
