Don't miss the October 2022 issue of ISMR - you can read it on https://joom.ag/ODzd

The October 2022 issue of International Sheet Metal Review magazine places a special focus on automation, robotics, digitalisation and sustainability. As global robot sales hit new records, it examines the growth drivers and trends highlighted by the International Federation of Robotics on page 26. Alberto Martínez, Bystronic’s chief digital officer, tells ISMR why and how the sheet-metal industry needs to address digitalisation on page 34. Reliable data is crucial on this journey.

This issue also features several key interviews with a range of global manufacturers (CEOs, managing directors, sales/marketing directors and business unit heads) who share their views with ISMR on the latest market developments; trends; growth areas; challenges and new technological innovations. Global consumer electronics markets are analysed on page 46.  Economic forecasts; shifts; trends and opportunities across Asia for manufacturers are presented on page 74. Coil coating, plasma cutting and tube bending also come under the spotlight in this issue.

The global sheet-metal industry has shown itself to be dynamic and flexible in the face of multiple challenges this year. These include supply chain issues; skyrocketing energy prices; Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, pandemic outbreaks and rising inflation levels. Despite these headwinds, the industry is embracing new technologies and focusing firmly on the future with new innovations, renewed strategies and an explosion of product/technology launches.

Many of these new product and technology launches will be unveiled at EuroBLECH (25-28 October 2022 in Hanover, Germany), the world’s leading trade exhibition for the sheet-metalworking industry. Around 1,300 exhibitors from 39 countries are ready to showcase their latest innovations. ISMR will be distributed at the entrances, and you can meet our team on booth H92 in Hall 14 at EuroBLECH.
