Along with the 8th Schweisstec international trade fair for joining technology, the 15th Blechexpo international trade fair for sheet metal working took place from 26-29 October 2021. As a key meeting point for the industry during a difficult year of COVID-19 disruption and lockdowns, the mood was upbeat as exhibitors and visitors were able to network face to face. The latest technologies and stand-alone/system solutions for the fabrication of parts made from sheet metal, profiles and pipe were on display.

Around 953 exhibitors from Germany, Italy, Austria, Turkey, Switzerland and the Benelux countries showcased technologies in sheet metal processing and metalworking over 108,000 square metres of exhibition floor space in nine halls. An estimated 30,000 visitors from 83 countries attended the event. Both Blechexpo and Schweisstec were also supported by  digital platforms, for those unable to attend the events in person, which attracted considerable numbers of ‘virtual’ visitors.

Once every two years, Blechexpo/Schweisstec presents the issues covering all aspects of thermal and mechanical sheet metal processing; cutting technologies; processing machines; equipment for punching, bending, braking and forming as well as system peripherals (including controllers and software, and solutions for handling and quality assurance). It covers complete process chains in sheet metal processing and metalworking.

As an international media partner, ISMR’s team distributed its October issue at the show entrances and took a stand in Hall 1.
