Global Industrie is postponed to June 2020

GL events, organiser of the Global Industrie exhibition in France, has confirmed that its 2020 edition, initially scheduled for 31 March- 3 April 2020, has been put back to 23-26 June 2020. It will now take place at Paris-Nord Villepinte.

“As a precautionary measure, this postponement seems to be the wisest decision. The health of our 2,500 exhibitors, our partners and over 45,000 visitors is our sole priority,” said the organiser in response to concerns over the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 outbreak, which causes the COVID-19 disease.

According to exhibition director Sébastien Gillet, "Given the legitimate concern raised by the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, postponement of the 2020 edition of the Global Industrie exhibition is the only option open to us. This is obviously a difficult decision to take, but the conditions are not currently met for this event to be held in complete safety. We are convinced that our entire community will be there from 23-26 June 2020 to present our country's industrial excellence. We will be keener than ever to highlight the expertise of the people who are creating tomorrow's industry.
 

"We wish to thank our customers for their understanding, together with the ministerial authorities who have assisted us over a long period and who have renewed their support for us at this difficult time,” he concluded. 

The show’s last edition in 2018, in Paris, attracted 40,800 visitors over four days. The four exhibitions which make up Global Industrie (MIDEST, INDUSTRY, TOLEXPO and SMART INDUSTRIES) still retain their specific identities.
