Latest update on EuroBLECH events

Mack Brooks Exhibitions has announced the postponement of the EuroBLECH 26th International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition, scheduled to take place at the Hanover Exhibition Grounds in Germany from 9-12 March 2021, to 25-28 October 2022. This decision was taken because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and after conversations with exhibitors and partners over the past few months. Uncertainties around continued travel restrictions were also a contributing factor to this decision.

“With the recent launch of the EuroBLECH Digital Innovation Summit, we have laid the foundation stone for a hybrid approach to our EuroBLECH Event, which will enable us to run a series of digital events in 2021 for the sheet metal working industry. As a result, EuroBLECH as we know it will be back for all participants in 2022 but, as the industry slowly recovers in the coming year, we will offer opportunities to regularly meet, network and conduct business in a safe online format in the meantime. It was very apparent at EuroBLECH DIGITAL that there currently is a need for the industry to get together and discover the latest innovations to kick-start their business efforts,” commented Nicola Hamann, managing director of Mack Brooks Exhibitions.

Further information on the digital event series will be announced in due course. The recent launch of the first EuroBLECH Digital Innovation Summit attracted 5,500 international participants from 91 countries and featured meeting options, webinars on recent industry trends and exhibitor presentations, as well as hundreds of exhibitor product showcases.

“We thank all participants for joining us at the first digital event for the sheet metal working industry. In times like these, we must be innovative, venture into new areas and adapt to new circumstances. At present, keeping the industry connected and providing a platform for networking and knowledge exchange is fundamental, as a complementary format to the live show,” added Evelyn Warwick, Event Director, EuroBLECH on behalf of the organiser (Mack Brooks Exhibitions).

The first EuroBLECH Digital Innovation Summit, held online from 27-30 October 2020, was an online trading, networking and webinar event for professionals from the entire sheet metal working technology chain. Visitors could virtually meet relevant exhibitors in prebooked meetings and drop-in meetings, watch product presentations and follow webinars on current industry trends, followed by live Q&A Sessions. Several options were available for visitors to get in touch with exhibitors: drop their business cards at virtual stands, pre-book meetings with exhibitors or instantly contact exhibitors as they browsed the virtual stands.

The content presented on the platform was streamed for almost 700 hours in total during the event. A daily programme of webinars by industry experts provided an opportunity for participants to gain useful insights into the latest market developments, as well as technical expertise concerning new industry applications and solutions. A presentation theatre and product showcases provided visitors with insights into the latest technologies and machines. Virtual exhibitor stands displayed hundreds of product showcases to allow visitors to explore new products and services in more detail.
