A wealth of product, technology and software launches characterised the 27th International Sheet Metal Working Technology Exhibition, EuroBLECH,in Hanover, Germany, from 22-25 October 2024. Amidst ongoing global challenges, the sheet metal working industry showcased its dedication to progress and growth at the exhibition, which attracted 38,946 trade visitors from 114 countries and 1,317 exhibitors.

Visitors witnessed an explosion of new systems and technology launches at the show, as well as a variety of machine, technology and digital process demonstrations during the event. Read our full show report on page 22. As well as interviewing manufacturers at the show, ISMR took a booth in Hall 14 and distributed its October issue at all the entrances.

In the November issue of ISMR, we review the sheet metal industry in 2024 by interviewing a variety of global manufacturers at EuroBLECH on their views of this year as well as their plans, projects and market forecasts for 2025. You can read their responses throughout this issue of ISMR as they navigate through challenges, successes and achievements to keep meeting customer expectations. On the way, they highlight new innovations; areas of growth; time-saving processes/technologies; the latest market developments and various strategic pathways to success.

This issue of ISMR also places a special focus on waterjet cutting, punching and surface finishing.
