BENTELER has made significant investments in a new tube drawing line at Paderborn, plant expansion at Schwandorf and smart factory adoption. Its Steel/Tube division is harnessing innovation to develop new sustainable products for hydrogen distribution networks and e-mobility.

============

BENTELER is a family business now owned by the fourth generation of the founding family. Founded in 1876 by Carl Benteler, today the company is owned by Hubertus Benteler Ges.m.b.H. and Dr. Ing. E.h. Helmut Benteler GmbH, each of whom has a 50% share. Under the management of the strategic holding company, BENTELER International AG registered in Salzburg, Austria, business operations are organised into two divisions: BENTELER Automotive and BENTELER Steel/Tube.

BENTELER Steel/Tube develops and produces steel and seamless and welded quality steel tubes. It offers customers worldwide solutions along the entire value chain from material development to tube applications. It creates customised tube products for the automotive, energy and industry market segments. BENTELER covers the entire supply chain from its own steel production to the tube and processing of the finished component.

Today, the BENTELER Group has around 25,000 employees in 92 locations (27 countries) worldwide. The Steel/Tube segment contributes to around 15% of its overall revenues. As a metal process specialist, BENTELER is active worldwide for customers in the automotive technology, energy and mechanical engineering sectors.

Its automotive tube solutions include rotor shafts; fluid routing lines; prop shafts; seatbelt tensioners; airbag generator sleeves and tubes for axle and steering solutions. Its products for industry applications include tube for pistons, hydraulic lines and cylinders. It also offers a wide range of tubes for energy applications.

Driving future mobility

“We’re not just metal processing specialists; we’re also inventors. That is why we continuously ask ourselves how we can make tubes, components and systems even lighter, more durable and more resource-efficient worldwide, with high quality at fair prices. In short, how we can make mobility lighter, safer and more sustainable,” said BENTELER.
