Decarbonising steel – a net-zero pathway

Steel production could be achieved with almost no carbon emissions via US$ 278 billion of extra investment by 2050, according to a new report from research firm BloombergNEF. Hydrogen and recycling are likely to play a central role in reducing emissions from steel production. Steel is responsible for around 7% of man-made greenhouse gas emissions every year and is one of the world’s most polluting industries.

The interactive networking event also offered a platform for in-depth expert talks and knowledge transfer.

3D printing metal market worth US$ 2.36 billion by 2028

The global 3D printing metal market size is expected to reach US$ 2.36 billion by 2028, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc., expanding at a CAGR of 25.7% over the forecast period. Market growth is attributable to the cost-effectiveness of 3D printed parts, reduced lead times and the development of complex parts during production.
